Yemeni Forces Repel Massive Attacks by Saudis, Mercenaries

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees managed to repulse massive attacks by the Saudi regime and its mercenaries in Yemen, killing and injuring a number of Saudi servicemen and militants.

In their counterattacks on Sunday, the Yemeni forces pounded the positions of mercenaries of the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh, in the southwestern city of Taiz, according to the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen TV.

The missile command of Yemen’s army also targeted and hit several gatherings of Saudi and Sudanese forces in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern province of Najran.

According to the report, a number of the Saudi-led coalition forces and mercenaries were killed or injured in the attacks.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
