IRGC Vows Harsh Response to Terrorists

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A combat base from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force reminded the “anti-revolutionary terrorist groups” of the severe punishment they would receive for any plot to upset security in Iran.

In comments on Monday, an informed source at the IRGC’s Hamze Sayyid al-Shohada Base, a combat unit in charge of security in Iran’s northwestern border areas, underlined that any move by the terrorist groups for infiltrating into Iran and creating insecurity will receive a crushing response.

It came after media speculation about the terrorist groups’ plots to make hostile moves northwest of Iran.

The source further highlighted the IRGC forces’ high level of intelligence and military readiness, and warned the terrorist groups that they will be chased and receive a harsh punishment if they dare take any hostile action against Iran.

Earlier this month, IRGC Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami warned that a crushing response would await Iran’s enemies in case they dare to make any wrong move against the country.

“The reactions (by Iran) would be very harsh and involve any kind of operations,” the IRGC commander noted.
