Iran Women Futsal Team Beats Russia in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s national futsal team defeated Russia in a friendly match on Saturday.
In the match held in Tehran’s Shahid Chamran Hall, Shahrzad Mozaffar’s team defeated Russia 2-1 thanks to goals from Sara Shirbeigi and Mahsa Kamali.
Team Melli will play the Russian team once again on Sunday.
Iran is preparing for the 2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship, slated for May in Thailand.
Team Melli had won the title in the first edition of the games in Malaysia back in 2015.
