Iran Handball Starts Off Strong at Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran handball team was too strong for Malaysia at the 2018 Asian Games on Wednesday.
The Iranian team pummeled Malaysia 55-11 at the Gor Popki Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Iran will play Qatar on Friday in Group A.
“The match against Malaysia was a preparatory match for us. I am satisfied with our performance in this match,” Iran coach Zoran Kastratovic said in the post-match news conference.
“We have a difficult match against Qatar because it has been consisted of the best players,” the Montenegrin-Macedonian coach added.
