Iran’s Women’s U-19 Beats Jordan in Two Friendlies
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s U-19 football team defeated Jordan in two friendly matches as preparation for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship.
In the match held in Tehran’s Ararat Stadium, Iran beat Jordan 4-2 on Wednesday.
Iran had also defeated Jordan 3-1 on Monday.
“Iran's women’s football team has grown widely in the recent years. Women's football in Iran is now being supported even more than it was a couple of years ago and it will continue growing,” Iran coach Katayoun Khosrowyar said.
“I will promise you this team will make history in the future. Because they have learned and experienced more,” she added.
Iran has been drawn in Group F along with Laos, Myanmar and Palestine.
