Iran’s Petrochimi Wins FIBA Asia Champions Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Petrochimi of Iran claimed the title of the 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup final match on Tuesday.
The Iranian team beat Japan’s Alvark Tokyo 68-64 in the final match.
Petrochimi had defeated Meralco Bolts from the Philippines 79-74 in semi-final.
Earlier in the day, Seoul SK Knights from South Korea had defeated Meralco Bolts 91-87 in the third place match.
The 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup is the 27th staging of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Asia.
The tournament, which was originally scheduled to be hosted by China, took place in Nonthaburi, Thailand from 27 September to 2 October 2018.
