Iran’s Jahangiri Takes Gold at Women's Shot Put F33

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Batoul Jahangiri won a gold medal at the Women's Shot Put F33 of the 2018 Asian Para Games on Tuesday.

She came first with a throw of 5.61m and also set an Asian record.

Qatar’s Sara Masoud won the silver medal with 5.45 and the bronze medal went to Sara Al Senaani from the UAE, throwing 5.28.

About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.

The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
