Shot Putter Baharvand Takes Gold at Asian Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Aref Baharvand won a gold medal at the Men's Shot Put F36 of the 2018 Asian Para Games on Wednesday.
Baharvand finished in first place with a throw of 12.57m.
The silver medal went to the UAE’s Mohammed Al Kaabi, who threw 12.40 and Ivan Zaleznyak from Kazakhstan earned a bronze medal, throwing 11.69m.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
