“Today, Iran has reached a stage in which it has forced the enemy to retreat from the strategic region,” Brigadier General Salami said in a speech on Sunday.
“The enemy’s regional influence is gone, while the influence and power of Iran have increased steadily in the region,” he added.
The US has been left in political isolation and various alliances are emerging against it, the commander said, adding that many former friends of the Americans are confronting Washington today.
“As Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei) has said, we will witness heavier defeats of the arrogant front,” he stressed, adding, “Iran's military forces are prepared to deal with enemies at any level.”
Back in September, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution highlighted Iran’s regional achievements and the defeat of the hegemonic powers, saying the Islamic Republic’s powerful resistance has caused the US goals in the region to fail.
“The world political and intelligent analysts are astonished and acknowledge the fact that Iran, by relying on God and counting on national power, has defeated the world powers in the region,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader described developments in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon as the examples of the failure of US conspiracies in the region and said they are signs of God's power and the realization of God's promises that if you assist God, God will help you succeed and persist.
