Iran Professional League: Saipa 0 – 0 Sepahan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team was held to a goalless draw against Saipa in the Iran professional League (IPL) at an inopportune time.
Sepahan had to beat Saipa to fill the gap with IPL leader Persepolis at the top but was unable to defeat struggling Saipa at the Dastgerdi Stadium in Tehran.
Also, Masjed Soleyman defeated Machine Sazi 1-0 thanks to a goal from Emad Mirjavan in Masjed Soleyman.
Gol Gohar Sirjan suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Shahr Khodro.
Roohollah Seifollahi scored the sole goal of the match.
Persepolis leads the table with 53 points, followed by Sepahan and Shahr Khodro with 41 points.
