Iranian FM Meets Hakim, Amiri in Baghdad
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif held separate meetings with Head of Iraq’s Fatah Alliance Hadi al-Amiri and Leader of the Arab country’s National Wisdom Movement Seyed Ammar al-Hakim in Baghdad on Sunday.
In the meeting with Amiri, the two officials discussed various issues, including the bilateral relations between Iran and Iraq, efforts to pursue the case of martyrdom of commanders of the axis of resistance, the fight against terrorism, and other issues of mutual interest.
Zarif then held talks with Ammar al-Hakim.
The top Iranian diplomat earlier held separate meetings with his Iraqi counterpart, President Barham Salih, and Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, who is going to visit Iran on Tuesday.
