Esteghlal Stays Atop IPL Table
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team beat visiting team Aluminum Arak 2-0 in the Iran Professional League (IPL) here on Monday.
The victory means Esteghlal remains top of the IPL table over Sanat Naft due to superior goal difference and one game in hand.
Arsalan Motahari and Mehdi Ghaedi scored for Mahmoud Fekri’s side in this match.
In Mashhad, Shahr Khodro defeated Saipa 1-0. Amin Ghaseminejhad scored the only goal of the match.
Foolad was held to a 1-1 by Mes Rafsanjan. Luciano Pereira Mendes scored for Foolad and Mehrdad Avakh equalized the match.
Sanat Naft also beat Naft Masjed Soleyman 2-0 in Abadan.
Reza Khaleghifar was on target in the first half and Mehdi Zobeidi made it 2-0 in the second half.
