Iran Beaten by Kyrgyzstan at 2023 IIHF World Championship Division III
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran suffered its third successive defeat in the 2023 IIHF World Championship Division III underway in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Team Melli lost to Kyrgyzstan 18-0 in Group B.
Iran started the campaign with a 14-4 win over Malaysia but lost to Hong Kong 11-1, Bosnia and Herzegovina 9-2 and Kyrgyzstan 18-0.
Iran will play Singapore on Sunday.
Group A consists of Turkmenistan, Chinese Taipei, South Africa, Luxembourg and Thailand.
The Group A tournament will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from April 17 to 23.
The 2023 IIHF World Championship Division III is an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
