Amirabdollahian and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani held talks on the phone on Thursday.
During the phone conversation, the Iranian foreign minister congratulated his Qatari counterpart on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The Qatari official also congratulated Amirabdollahian on the beginning of Ramadan as well as Nowruz, which marks the Persian New Year.
The two sides further discussed the latest regional and international developments.
They also stressed the need to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar.
