IPL: Persepolis Moves Up Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Persepolis football team edged past Gol Gohar 1-0 to move top of 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) table on Sunday.
In the match, held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Shahab Zahedi scored the host’s goal four minutes before the interval.
Earlier in the day, Malvan defeated Nassaji 1-0 in Anzali. Milad Bagheri scored Malavan’s goal in the added time.
Persepolis leads the table with 13 points, followed by Esteghlal with 12 points.
