Iran Advances to 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran booked its place at the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand after ending its Qualifiers Group C campaign with a 6-0 win over Lebanon on Wednesday.
Behrooz Azimihemat (twice), Mojtaba Parsapour, Hossein Tayebi, Saeid Ahmad Abbasi and Moslem Oladghobad scored for Iran.
The 12-time champion topped the group with a perfect record of three wins, scoring 34 goals and conceding only four at the Bishkek Arena in a statement of intent.
Iran had defeated the Maldives (18-2) and Kyrgyzstan (10-2) in its previous matches.
