Ali Pakdaman Wins First Medal of Iranian New Year
TEHRAN (Tasnim)– Fencer Ali Pakdaman claimed the first medal in the Iranian New Year.
He snatched a bronze in the men’s sabre of the 2024 Fencing World Cup in Budapest, Hungary.
Pakdaman failed to advance to the final, being defeated by Italian fencer Luca Curatoli 15-5.
Hungarian fencer Andras Szatmari claimed the gold medal after defeating Curatoli 15-10.
A total of 267 fencers competed in the competition held in Budapest, Hungary.
