Deaf Futsal World Cup: Iran Sinks Algeria

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran overpowered Algeria 11-1 in the 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup on Saturday.

The Iranian futsal team, who had defeated Japan 6-3 in its first match, will play the Switzerland on Sunday.

The Iranian women’s team will also play Denmark on Sunday.

A total of 27 teams from 20 countries are competing in the event. Men’s event consists of 11 teams, divided into two groups.

Thailand, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Italy and Brazil are in Group A, while group B consists of Iran, Russia, Japan, Switzerland, Algeria and Norway.

Women’s event consists of 15 teams, divided into three groups of four teams and one group of three.

Group A is made up of Thailand, Italy, Sweden and China. Russia, Turkey, Spain and Japan are in Group B. Group C consists of Germany, Belgium, Norway and Brazil, while England, Denmark and Iran are in Group D.
