Asian Women's Handball Championship: Iran Defeats Hong Kong
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian national handball team beat Hong Kong in the Asian Women's Handball Championship on Saturday.
The Iranian team, who defeated India 42-24 on Thursday, beat Hong Kong 22-14 at the Popki Sport Hall, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Iran will play Uzbekistan on Sunday.
The Asian Handball Nations Championship is the official competition for senior national handball teams of Asia, and takes place every two years.
In addition to crowning the Asian champions, the tournament serves as a qualifying tournament for the World Championship, which will be held in Denmark.
