According to Tasnim dispatches, the buses taking over 400 residents of al-Foua and Kefraya, including the wounded and sick, to Aleppo were stopped in al-Rashedeen district by Takfiri terrorists on Wednesday.
Facing blizzard conditions, the militant-held evacuees are now crammed into buses for hours, waiting to move, the report added.
Foua and Kafarya are the only government-held enclave in Idlib’s militant-held area. The towns of some 20,000 people have been under siege since 2013. The humanitarian situation remains dire, with a lack of food and basic necessities. Now, heavy snowfall in the Arab country has made life more unbearable for thousands of people trapped in the towns.
Since the early hours of Monday, buses have been transferring the evacuees from Aleppo’s eastern side to militant-held territory in Khan Tuman, a village southwest of Aleppo, and Idlib.
Also, about 1,000 Syrian residents and their families have been evacuated from Kefraya and al-Foua.
According to Syrian media, evacuation of the wounded and civilians trapped in the two Shiite-populated towns was a condition for the evacuation of militants in eastern Aleppo.
It seems that the move by the terrorists to halt the evacuation process came after Damascus rejected a request by them to allow 10 of their private cars to leave Aleppo in return for only one civilian bus in al-Foua and Kefraya.
Reports say that currently some 2,200 Takfiri militants are in eastern parts of Aleppo.
