Iran’s Hassan Yazdani Remains Top of FS Rankings
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Olympic gold medal winner Hassan Yazdani Charati maintained his position at top of the 74kg weight category in the United World Wrestling freestyle rankings for January.
The Iranian wrestler followed by Russian Aniuar Geduev and Azerbaijan’s Yabrail Hasanov.
In 125kg, Iran’s Komeil Ghasemi is second after Taha Akgul from Turkey. Georgian Geno Petriashvili is third.
And Moustafa Hosseinkhani is third in the 70kg. Magomed Kurbanaliev from Russia is first in the category and Kazakhstan’s Nurlan Bekzhanov sits second.
Only a handful of wrestlers ranked in the top 10 competed during January, according to UWW, leaving the vast majority of the rankings unchanged.
