TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Violent riots in France’s city of Nantes entered its fourth night as angry protesters holding petrol bombs clash with police forces.

Angry youths torched dozens of cars as police responded with tear gas in clashes which broke out in the Le Breil neighbourhood of Nantes just after midnight and ended around dawn, according to gellerreport.

The protesters also set fire to a building, which was brought under control by firefighters, in another night of violence in Nante’s “ghetto district”.

It comes after the police officer who shot dead Aboubakar Fofana, 22, was charged with manslaughter on Friday.

Since news of the 22-year-old’s death spread on Tuesday evening, violent clashes between protesters and police have quickly ripped through the picturesque city in western France.
