Iran Defeats Japan in FIBA U-18 Asian Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat Japan 71-64 in Pool A of the 2018 FIBA Under-18 Asian Championship on Tuesday.
Iran qualified for the quarterfinals in the competition underway in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Iran has defeated Indonesia 80-50 and Kazakhstan 86-54 on Sunday and Monday respectively.
The 2018 FIBA Under 18 Asian Championship kicked off on August 5 and will run until August 11.
A total of 16 teams were grouped in four groups of four teams in the tournament.
The top four teams will qualify for the 2019 FIBA Under 19 Basketball World Cup.
