FIBA U-18 Asian Championship: Iran Beats South Korea
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will face Japan on Saturday for the FIBA Under-18 Asian Championship fifth place after defeating South Korea 89-81 on Friday.
Amirhossein Rezaeifar paced Iran with 27 points while Hyunjung Lee scored 24 points for the Korean team.
The 2018 FIBA Under-18 Asian Championship kicked off on August 5 and will run until August 11.
A total of 16 teams participate in the tournament underway in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Australia, New Zealand, China and the Philippines have already qualified for the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup.
