Iran Eyes Enhanced Cooperation with Mexico, Indonesia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of Iran voiced Tehran’s willingness to strengthen economic and industrial collaboration with Mexico and Indonesia in separate meetings with the new ambassadors of the Latin American and Southeast Asian countries.

In the meeting with Mexico’s new Ambassador Guillermo Alejandro Puente Ordorica, held in Tehran on Tuesday, President Hassan Rouhani called for the expansion of economic, scientific and technological cooperation between the two states. 

He also expressed Iran’s readiness to deepen the trade, industrial and medical interaction with Mexico and to promote cooperation between the two countries’ companies.

In his meeting with Indonesia’s new envoy, Rouhani said Iran is resolved to raise the level of economic, cultural, scientific and technological cooperation with the Southeast Asian nation.

Pointing to the meetings that he had held with the Indonesian clerics during a visit to Jakarta, the president said the both nations follow the teachings of Islam on the basis of moderation and forgiveness.

The new ambassadors of seven countries met with the Iranian president on Tuesday to submit their credentials.
