Iraqis Hold Symbolic Funeral Procession for Martyred Commanders (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Supporters of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units carried symbolic caskets and photos of martyred commanders deputy chairman Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Iranian Quds Force general Qasem Soleimani, in Karbala on Tuesday.
"The first anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory comes out today from the holy lands of Karbala (province), the land of martyrs," said Office Manager of Al-Nujaba Majed Al-Kaabi.
Lt. General Soleimani, deputy head of PMU Al-Muhandis, and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3, 2020.
