TEHRAN (Tasnim) – In a congratulatory message on the Republic of Azerbaijan’s national day, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani praised the close relations between the two neighbors, expressing confidence that they will promote ties in various fields.

In a Friday message to Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, Rouhani congratulated the “friend and brother” government and nation of Azerbaijan on the Republic Day.

President Rouhani also expressed confidence that the two neighbors will strengthen cooperation, promote political, economic and cultural ties, and deepen regional peace and stability on the basis of their rich cultures, common historical background, and mutual understanding.

He also wished the Azeri leader and people health, success and prosperity.
