Iran U-17 Greco-Roman Wins Asian Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-17 Greco-Roman team came first in the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Sunday.
The Iranian wrestlers won four gold medals, as well as two silvers and two bronzes.
Iran accumulated 188 points to finish first, while host Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan came second and third with 176 and 151 points, respectively.
Mohammad Meraj Mohmadi (51kg), Mohammad Reza Gholami (55kg), Ali Akbar Asghari (92kg) and Amir Hossein Abdevali (110kg) won four gold medals.
Erfan Moradi and Habibollah Moradi took two silver medals in the 45kg and 71kg weight classes.
And Ali Dezfoolinezhad (60kg) and Ahmad Reza Mohammadian (65kg) claimed two bronze medals.
