Mass Shooting in Baltimore Leaves 4 Dead, 25 Injured

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least four people have been killed and 25 others injured in a mass shooting in Baltimore in the US state of Maryland.

Few details are currently available regarding a shooting incident at a party in Baltimore, according to local officials and witnesses, BNO News reported on Sunday.

The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday when authorities received a shooting report in the 800 block of Gretna Ct. in Baltimore's Brooklyn neighborhood, where a large gathering of over 100 people had assembled.

Preliminary reports indicate that four individuals have lost their lives, and 25 others sustained injuries. The conditions of the injured are currently unknown, as many of them transported themselves to nearby hospitals.

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) confirmed the incident, stating, "BPD is on scene of a mass shooting incident in the 800 block of Gretna Court in our Southern District," but provided no further details.

Witnesses, as recounted by reporter Rebecca Pryor, described the area as hosting hundreds of people who had congregated for an annual event known as "Brooklyn Day." One witness reported hearing as many as 30 gunshots, stating, "They just kept going off."
