Sara Bahmanyar Wins Iran’s Last Medal in 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Karate athlete Sara Bahmanyar won Iran’s last medal in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
She seized a bronze medal in the women’s kumite -50kg after defeating Japan’s Miho Miyahara 6-5.
Bahmanyar beat Malaysian Chandran Shahmalarani 7-3 in Round of 16 and defeated Cambodian Srey Phea Chonn 8-0 in the quarterfinals.
She lost to Kazakhstan’s Moldir Zhangbyrbay 5-4 in the semifinals.
