Israel Resumes Onslaught on Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip resumed on Friday morning as a 72-hour cease-fire came to an end.

After the expiry of the cease-fire at 8am on Friday, Israeli warplanes targeted several parts of the Gaza Strip, Al Mayadeen TV channel reported.

According to Israeli media, at least 20 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel since the end of the cease-fire. Sirens sounded in the Ashkelon, Ashdod and Eshkol regions but no casualties or damage have been reported.

Also Press TV website reported on Friday that Israel has resumed pounding the Gaza Strip, shortly after the expiry of a 72-hour-long truce between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas.

There are still no reports of potential casualties from the renewed attack.

The Palestinian resistance is also reported to have started rocket attacks on Israel, the report added.
