Iran Unveils 5 New Tech Products

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari on Tuesday unveiled 5 new homemade technological products.

The products were unveiled in the annual festival of the best products developed under the auspices of Pardis Technology Park, a facility operating under Iranian president’s office.

The technological products include hemodialysis machine, high-pressure capsules, high torque DC motors, operational robot for tube networks, and portable laboratory.

Pardis Technology Park, known as Iran’s Silicon Valley, is the country’s biggest technology park, founded back in 2005.  It is seen as a leading hub for high-tech innovation and development in Iran.

The facility works in cooperation with a number of Iranian universities and scientific centers with the aim of commercializing the country’s technological products and preparing the ground for development of the knowledge-based companies.

Earlier in August, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced that his administration attaches great significance to scientific research and provides whatever financial support necessary to that end.

“The administration is not subject to any constraints on funding research activities, either in the field of applied research needed by the country or in the field of research at the boundary of knowledge, which is necessary for the country,” said Rouhani.
