Persepolis’ First Captain Jasemian Loses Battle with Coronavirus

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team’s first captain Hamid Jasemian died of coronavirus in Tehran Sunday night.

Jasemian died at the age of 84.

He will be laid to rest at the Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in Tehran on Monday.

The number of coronavirus patients who have died in Iran in 24 hours stood at 454 on Sunday.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 147 million and the death toll has exceeded 3.1 million.
